Dr. Novotny completed general surgery residency at Akron City Hospital in 1993. He completed plastic surgery residency in 1995. Dr. Novotny has served since 2013 as the Medical Director of St. John Medical Center/University Hospitals Advanced Wound Center in Westlake, Ohio

In private practice since 1995, Dr. Novotny specializes in cosmetic surgery of all types, reconstructive surgery and surgery of the hand.
